I had chosen an A4 portrait hardback. The website was very clear on what I would receive and the costing. The process is also very clear on the website. I needed to contact the company about the layout especially its print-readiness. This was all very straightforward. Referring to the process, I was confused by steps 5 and 6. I received an invoice before delivery which I presumed needed to be paid before delivery. This seemed to make sense rather than the website's version which was that I receive the goods, then I pay. I appreciate, never having dealt with you before and therefore not knowing what quality to expect, that I should see what I am paying for first, but it could leave the company having to chase payments!
Strengths
1. The costing is available immediately on the website. I didn't have to provide an email and wait for my costing to be sent to be along with opening myself up to lots of junk e-mails.
2. The names of contacts are given on the website for those in the company should clients need to ring (and I know I had to to provide clarity to my order)
3. From order, contact, processing and delivery, I had little need to have further contact. It really was all 'automatic'. Despite all the processing and machinery, this all took place in the background; all I saw was the end result - my order.
4. speed and cost are impressive
5. contact with the company was relaxed. When I rang, I didn't get a sense of panic and hassle with employees worked to within 27 hours a day! (maybe you are, but it didn't show)
Improvements or suggestions
For the cost and speed, I don't know whether you could improve. However if you want to hear it, I could suggest telling the client how their photographs might slightly distort in the printing or how some of the poorer quality prints may not appear well on the page i.e their blurring may take away from the impact of the photograph. Perhaps this requires two different order levels - standard order and professional order and cost them accordingly?
On the delivery I had three different delivery addresses. On the two in mainland GB, DPD gave me a hourly slot delivery time, but in Northern Ireland there was no such slot, so I had to wait in for the day when the delivery was due. (fortunately it arrived mid morning). However all the parcels arrived on the days in which they said they would.
In the event you found Copyshop UK with the help of Google, what search key words did you use?
