I picked this company because it was a fully integrated service. My car was picked up from my house in the United States and was delivered to my house in the Netherlands, ready to drive. I did not... I did not feel comfortable navigating customs, inspections, registration, etc. and did not have to do anything but line up the insurance.

The original quote that I received was comprehensive and covered all steps. The final total matched the quote perfectly.

Very good communication throughout the process.

The only area I saw was when my car was picked up from my home in the United States. The car transport company called me two days before we were leaving the country. We have met at SCL friendly and knowledgeable people that have helped us to make our travelling dreams come true. We have discovered that shipping a car or anything valuable is quite different from taking a ferry or a plane ticket. Intercontinental sea shipping is a whole worldin itself, and we simply couldn't have done it without SCL help and support. We are globally very happy with their services, but the most important point, even beyond their highly reliable professionality, is that all its agents and personnel remained at all times friendly and accesible, giving us the opportunity to keep pace with the intricacies of a procedure that was new for us. For all this, thanks a lot all of you for your help and solutions. We strongly recommend SCL also --last but not least-- for its competitive prices. :-) :-) Tomás and Beatriz

It shouldn't be too complicated; its just a matter of internally tracking anywrongdoer and make it clear that this doesn't belong to good practices. It's obviously the responsibility of the shipping Company, but a concerned agent can do a lot to improve things in this area. This will contribute to make ro-ro even more competitive versus containers. Apart from big car companies, I am persuaded that there's quite a relevant potential for a groving interest with ro-ro among private people.
