The driving distance on the first day was one of the longest. Having never driven African roads before We were unfamiliar with the vehicle and driving on gravel roads. A shorter first leg would have been better so we were able to arrive at our first campsite earlier in order to familiarise ourselves with the vehicle & equipment: Strengths

Suggestions for Bushlore and the in car equipment. Some of she equipment was sub par, knives extremely blunt, utensils hopeless, the can opener was broken when we took it out to use it for the first time, there was a lots of a few things. Bedding was very clean but pillows were barely a pillow, we ended up purchasing our own in Francistown. All the actual 4wd equipment was great just the camping gear needs some review, especially when supporting a family who need to cook more and greater amounts.: Product of service:

We've used Selfdrive 4x4 three times now, and have always had a great time. The routes are well thought out and exciting, whilst remembering it's a holiday so keeping the km/day sensible. Accomodation choices are all great (those that are a bit less good are in the parks so no other options). They are happy to discuss customisation to standard trips and we made a few tweaks to most trips based on what was our favourite place/campsite on a previous trip. Car was reliable and over three trips, 10000 km, we've not had a problem - not even had to change a tyre.

Our trip was prepared very professionally. We used an app that was very helpful. We didn't have any problems with vouchers or entrances to national parks. The itinerary met our expectations. The employees of the car rental company were very helpful, friendly and professional.

1. In the description of our trip (20th of November) was a mistake. There is: "After the Makalamabedi Vet Gate, turn left and follow the Kuke fence". But the Makalambedi Gate is on the road to Motopi (direction Gweta). The passed this gate and after we realized that it is a wrong way. We had to come back to Maun, turn left and then we were on the right road. We reached the Kuke Vet Gate, turn left and followed the Kuke fence to the Tsau Gate. 2. We had some problems with GPS in our car. We had to reset it very often. We needed to use paper map. GPS in two others cars were OK.: Product of service:

An amazing trip with particularly well chosen campsites and lodges. None of the overnight stops disappointed. The route was stunning, manageable distances each day and just superb scenery and wildlife viewing. A very good hire 4x4, well equipped and very good condition. The only issue was with the satnav which did take a bit of sorting out. Otherwise was excellent.

The phone app is very good and useful. I know it is still in development. More of it needs to be downloadable onto your phone so that it doesn’t disappear when you don’t have WiFi.: Strengths

The experience was outstanding. From the first contact, to the preparations prior to the trip, up to the trip itself everything was super professional, customer-focused and we greatly benefited from the team’s experience in Botswana. During the trip (13 days Botswana) everything worked out super smoothly and the route, as well as the camp sites were perfectly selected.

- Camping in Chobe Safari Lodge was not a good experience (camp grounds are tiny, it’s super dense and crowded and lots of annoying animals): Strengths
