I rented a car for only one day in early November this year. I paid a bit of extra money in order to reduce the deposit to be paid in order to get the car.

-/- It took Avis more than 1 MONTH to unblock the EUR 500 deposit from my credit card. This has happened to me before with Avis. Sixt does not ask for any extra to be paid to reduce the deposit amount which always amounts to EUR 300 in my experience in the NL, and they always unblock it within 7 days after returning the car. Sixt did not have available cars that day.
