I enquired with Miway for a quote for car insurance about a month ago. A few days later, I was sent policy documents for a life insurance policy that I did not ask for, nor did I give my consent to open up said policy in my name. This is ILLEGAL, no matter how you look at it. I will never do business with them purely based on the fact that they do not seem to be trustworthy in the way personal information is handled. Promotional policy or not, this requires EXPLICIT permission before a policy is registered. I will not do business with Miway ever, even if only based on principle alone. And just to top it all off, not a single request to cancel the policy, irrespective of which of the countless email addresses I sent requests to, was even acknowledged let alone actioned. Pathetic showing in every regard, definitely not recommended.
