We arrived late evening which we had pre warned staff would be the case, they phoned to confirm they had posted room keys to me and o let ourselves in and everything was ready for us.
We got there to find no bedding, no cot and no towels even though we had paid for these to be provided for us. Because reception was shit we spent the first night with no bedding - my 90 year old grandmother was cold and uncomfortable. My one year old son had no cot and had to sleep on a rolled up quilt on the floor. Nobody got any sleep that night and when we spoke with the service point the following morning they were unconcerned with how inconvenient this had been for us. They offered €30 refund which in my opinion wasn’t enough given the circumstances and the amount I had paid for towels and bedding.
Somebody was sent to deliver the missing items and brought only bedding - so we asked her where the cot was and she was unaware we needed one. She went back to get a cot and I asked her where was the cot bedding - again she didn’t have this and had to go back again to get this. Very unprofessional and poorly run.
The accommodation itself was dirty on arrival, the floors had not been cleaned and the toilet room stunk of wee. We ends up buying our own cleaning products to stop the smell and even that didn’t work completely. The smell was awful and toilet was very dirty. The hoover didn’t work and the sweeping brush was so old and deformed it did nothing to clean the floor. Quilts were stained, beds awful and no windows had been cleaned, not to mention cobwebs all over ceilings/walls and mould sound windows.
Th park facilities were lovely but the service point staff and room presentation were disgusting.
