Henry Franklin at African Safari Group delivered, under extreme time constraints, a complete African vacation that exceeded our expectations. With only about 2 weeks lead time, we received word from our daughter and her husband that we should come visit them in Cape Town. If we didn't travel RIGHT NOW!, we'd miss the opportunity to visit them. I immediately booked round trip flights from the US. I then sent emails to many different African safari lodge websites to learn about the availability of lodging and tours, at such short notice during a busy season. Henry was one of the first responders, and was the only one to telephone and discuss our exact needs very completely. Others sent emails about lodging and tour availability during the dates I listed. In contrast, Henry laid out a COMPLETE itinerary, including lodging, tours, shuttles to/from airports and hotels. We communicated via both email and phone, often several times each day. He was very patient and flexible, because we had to coordinate all arrangements with our daughter and her husband, and make sure that everyone's schedule matched. The trip he helped arrange was very complex, with a stay at Kruger National Park, then travel to Cape Town, then on to Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls, with a day trip to Botswana and Chobe National Park. I was amazed we could accomplish a dream vacation like this on such short notice. Henry managed to book 5 star facilities: Lukimbi Safari Lodge in Kruger, Commodore Hotel in Cape Town, and Stanley and Livingstone Safari Lodge in Victoria Falls. In addition, he made sure we were booked on photo safaris, river cruises, special day tours of the Falls and Chobe. He handled everything, and sent us comprehensive proposals with price quotes for review. Several times he sent different options, so we could pick the most appropriate and affordable. As an example of Henry's responsiveness, we were concerned about not having enough US$ cash for Zimbabwe Customs. It was our mistake. We got a single entry visa, and then realized that the day trip to Botswana would require a second entry back into Zimbabwe. We also did not know if Botswana Customs would levee additional fees. We wanted to make sure we had sufficient funds for any eventuality. We emailed Henry, and he worked out an arrangement with Wild Horizon Tours and Stanley and Livingstone Guest House, making sure they could cover any unanticipated border fees, and we could then pay via credit card upon our departure. I plan to highly recommend African Safari Group, and in particular Henry Franklin, to any of my friends, colleagues, and business associates who plan to visit South Africa. I thank you for your responsiveness, flexibility, thoroughness, patience, and sensitivity to our particular travel needs.
