Dear shaun, How beautiful it is here and how lucky we are to have this experience as a family. a real moment of happiness, to which all team members of the safari lodge contribute. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed with a welcome drink and given a tour of the grounds. The lodges are fully equipped and each have their own pool. In front of our lodge there is a small fen where animals come to drink. We immediately saw two kudus, a type of gazelle, near our lodge. Unfortunately we couldn't watch this for too long, because lunch was served immediately at 2:00 PM. At 3:00 PM it was time for our first game drive, accompanied by our regular game driver and guide for the coming days, Desmont. What a party! We saw giraffes, warthogs (pumbas), gazelles and elephants up close. It was much more than we could have hoped for. The care during the drive was perfect: at sunset we received a drink and snacks, and we were provided with large fleece ponchos against the cold, a rain cape and even a hot water bottle on the way back. Everything was perfectly arranged. Around 7:15 PM a fire was lit at the dinner tent and we were welcomed again with a drink and then enjoyed a three-course menu. When we returned to our lodge, the air conditioning was already on for heating and the lights were on. We went to bed early, because tomorrow we will be woken up at 6:15 am for the second game drive.
