I am happy that I have supported the students on their practice. My experience has not been great because my haircut is not that good. I was looking for a simple straight cut of my hair, with no... I am happy that I have supported the students on their practice. My experience has not been great because my haircut is not that good. I was looking for a simple straight cut of my hair, with no layers, to also clean the edges. While I got the straight cut, the reason I am not satisfied is that:
- the hairdresser (student) cut the sides uneven resulting in cutting further than agreed to bring them evenly
- the teacher passed by to check and she only gave a very brief direction without explaining to the student what she did wrong and how she can correct it
- My understanding is that the student still had questions on what to do and I noticed that she needs some more technique education and technical know-how on how to cut the hair
- I would have loved to have the edges of my hair "smoothened" a bit and look more gentle. The edges currently look like a "brush" (for instance the brush we apply face make up power)
- the student did her best and of course, I appreciate that. I feel that the support, corrections and knowledge sharing by the teachers should be improved to ensure that the students built their technique and are in better position to practice on customers
- I also felt that it's not clear for the student on how to use the hairdryer for straightening (curly) hair

Echt goed! Sommige studenten hebben er echt talent in en doen het gelijk heel goed. Andere zijn nog best bang, en dan zit je vooral heel lang in de stoel. Maar voor die prijs is het dat ook echt...
