Not positive. Overall being preferred plus is not special.
quite often i have to send in a claim of my rentals to show up in my rental history to become a preferred plus. Why is this not automatic is not clear.
In Schiphol airport, NL you are treated the same as other customers and the line for preferred plus seems practically non recognizable. on a number of occasions i have asked some clarification and they say they have 2 systems and it is in some other system etc. Avis should have one system and not burden the customer with this.
Binckhorstlaan, NL: some of your staff check cars properly. But some do not. Recently i had done a rental and you assume that all things are provided. For this hatchback rental, the inside cover of the boot at the back was missing. I did not notice this when taking the car. when i returned i was told it is missing by the check in person. I told her it was probably never there. She then goes back and looks it up in the system and finds some text that it was missing. This is quite stressful so not sure why they dont check this in the first place. Also maybe when taking the rental inform the customer that something is missing.
Canada - Calgary airport, Canada. the experience was poor. I rented a truck RAM1500 and needed one with a cover at the back as we will be travelling with a lot of luggage and not parking in hotel only. The manager just was so difficult in clarifying my rental request etc and the price.. why are these tactics applied is strange. it was a disappointing experience to have to wait finally an hour and get a truck they claimed was being washed but was very dirty anyway when I got it.
