We were excited to visit Grando in Utrecht. Our original appointment was scheduled to look at the options for kitchen and bathroom for our new house. Of course, we had meetings with multiple suppliers, so we could compare the quality and their offers and make the right decision. Last Friday we've had a meeting with a different supplier and we found out that Grando belongs to the same group DMG as the supplier we've met.
Trying to be polite (as during the covid19 times you have to schedule an appointment to go to the store) I emailed my contact at Grando -
Nick van der Laan, and explained to him that as Grando belongs to the same group we will not be interested in the option of the kitchen, however we would like to continue with our meeting for the bathroom. From my side I was trying to save his time and give him a possibility to potentially get another customer for him in the timeslot that we will not longer use. (kitchen timeslot). Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I received a message from Nick, that the appointment scheduled in April is now cancelled. First I thought it was a misunderstanding however, he wrote me " Hi Justyna, the trust is a bit gone from our side after your 1st email, which is why we prefer not to continue with the bathroom." My only intention was to be honest and not waste time. So I assume the bathroom commission is not as high as kitchen. Nick's answer was extremely unprofessional. I guess he would rather have me to come in April for this appointment and tell him only then that we are only interested in looking for the bathroom. We got punished for trying to be nice and honest. VERY DIASPPOINTING BEHAVIOUR of the Grando representative - Nick van der Laan. Obviously, we will not make business with them. No respect for potential customers from their side.
