Greenchoice customer service representative, Imara, gave me false information regarding changing my contract to a flat rate instead of the existing variable rate and promised that she'll change it for me and that it'll be effective immediately.
Six months later, when I noticed that the contract hadn't been changed, I contacted customer care again. It took time and effort till my contract was changed and when I asked to be reimbursed for the six month for the price difference incurred from the initial request date until the new contract took effect (always the 1st of the following month), responses have varied from denying the need for reimbursement due to a "misunderstanding" to falsely claiming that the contract was changed 6 months ago.
It appears that the customer care and complaints departments either lack diligence in their work or are deliberately attempting to exhaust customers until they abandon their reimbursement requests. This approach reflects poorly on Greenchoice. As a commercial enterprise, their goal is to generate income and a key aspect of achieving this is maintaining customer satisfaction. The current handling of my case undermines this goal.
