Caring and professional workers, smooth experience with no open questions left.
I was participating in a study about Covid-19 antibodies and as my first study I was kind of nervous, but the modern research facility with comfortable beds and many workers helped to provide a good experience.

The time table is clear and I had enough time to study or watch netflix. At one time I was in the wrong place due to unclear communication, but it was resolved quickly and in a friendly way.
Everyone speaks fluent english, wat leuk.

The medical aspect was very professional, the cannula that stay in your arm are placed on your arm instead of the arm bend. You can move and sleep comfortable, in every german hospital i have been its inside the arm bend which is not comfortable.
There are always enough people walking nearby, inside the room or supervising you after receiving the drug so I felt very safe.
During no point of the study I experienced any kind of discomfort, pain or side effects.

Everything besides the actual visit in the research centre was also good, you can always call ICON to good times and don't need to wait long. Questions about compensation, visits and times are always answered.
I travelled all the way from germany for about 6 hours per trip and when the trains were late to the check-ups it was absolutely no problem.

The payment of the compensation is as planned, travel expenses are imbursed in a fair way and I can recommend it.

This was my first study so I don't have experience what could have been better. No caffeine allowed during the study is a major downpoint for me but I can see that this is nothing you can change while participating in a clinical trial.
