Even though it’s a clinic, they’ve created a warm and cozy environment with a very friendly staff to make your stay feel homley.

Nobody is perfect, so let’s start with some downsides. The bed is a bit too small for my taste—I'd prefer a minimum of 140x200, but these are 90x200. The architecture of the shower space is great, but the water temperature is unadjustable, and they suffer from what I’d call *thermal bipolarity*.
It seems they don’t have a— or enough—superintendents for the building, so when something breaks, it’s either fixed very primitively by incompetent staff or just left as it is. While it’s not a major issue, it’s important to have someone on hand to fix things properly when needed.
Savories are limited. In the morning, I’d prefer three slices of cheese, but you’re only allowed two, forcing me to either steal or suffer. This raises a common moral dilemma. If it’s a financial issue, it could be solved logistically since they use single-slice packaged cheese— which also isn’t great for the environment.
Last but not least, everyone does it their own way which leads to some confusion. Some say it’s protocol other guideline, some follow them some don’t. It’s not bad but it makes interactions a bit harder and sometimes awkward.
Now to the good things! They have plenty of space and rooms available during your stay, where you can watch TV, play board games, work on your laptop, study, read, talk with your roommates, and more. These areas are well-lit with warm lighting and decorated with colorful interiors, making them comfortable and cozy. They offer daily walks in a beautiful area filled with manifold shades of green, out of which lovely spots of color emerge. You walk alongside wild cows and sheep along a stunning lake, and enjoy the interpassive voyeurism of watching others enjoy themselves—whether they’re swimming, eating ice cream, or spending time with friends and family—before heading back to eat the blandest Spaghetti Bolognese of your life, served in a plastic container.
Aside from that, they make a great effort with extracurricular activities like soap carving, museum visits, boat rides, and massages. These are limited to one per week and are voted on democratically by your group, which is why I’ve only had massages so far. Nevertheless, the massages were excellent and performed by different staff members, so you’ll get some variety as well.
The staff is incredibly friendly and do their best to ensure you have a pleasant experience. Plus, most of the nurses, both men and women, are extremely attractive, so you’ll have some eye candy throughout your stay.
Compared to their competitors, this is one of the best clinics for medical trials, and if you’re considering participating in one, I can highly recommend it.

1 more slice of cheese per meal and a shower where I can regulate the heat.

Dear A.C.G.,
Thank you very much for your feedback.
We appreciate you taking the time to give us your positive feedback back, as well as the room for improvement.
Nobody wants to suffer from thermal bipolarity while showering, I will give this back to the relevant department. The slice of cheese you mentioned is of course a sad situation, both for you and the environment. Unfortunately we cannot change this at the moment.
I am glad to hear that the activities are well received, hopefully next time something else than a massage will be chosen.
Hopefully we will see you again soon!
Kind regards, Charlotte from ICON.
