Quality of foils:
My foils are terrible, I was at the salon 9-2pm, most of my day. Given the price of 68euro was charged to me, I could have visited a professional salon and had a better result. I felt bad for the girl who did my hair since she was very friendly. But the quantity of foils put in, the method, the colour result and the speed it was completed - it is just not acceptable.

I have thick hair, but I was already charged extra for this. I was made to feel like I was asking too much to have the same quantity put in than a professional salon had put in before (the last professional salon charged less for more foils). What I have is barely a T-section, a T-section is not a half head of foils, minimum attention paid to how the foils would look around my face, one side of my head had less than the other, looks odd.

I have a re-growth mark, even around the face, where barely any foils were placed and they were left to move around so the base of some are different colour to the rest of the hair. I can see now I have undeveloped foils a the top of my head and on each side of my head, underneath there are chunky line sections, one side was half fixed at the salon, but it still is not good.

As the girl was placing my foils, no one checked her method, I said that I didn't think the space was right and I could feel that the speed was much too slow for my hair type. My hair was washed and blow dried before anyone checked my foils. The check was not thorough, no one lifted up my hair to look through it, just looked at the top. I was never handed a mirror to check the back either.

This is very upsetting for me since I'm a student, I paid a sufficient amount of money for a good result. Instead of walking out of the salon feeling better about my hair, I felt like I just spent 70euro to worsen my hair. Of course some of the foils worked, but all through my hair there are chunky blonde sections surrounded my un-foiled sections that will just look worse and worse as it grows out. I understand people are learning, but if someone doesn't have the skills for my hair type to do an acceptable job, then they shouldn't say they'll do it.

On top of the experience of 5 hours of my day lost to worsening my hair, the salon also was very pushy to sell me products. I've been blonding my hair for 8 years, I understand how to treat it. I appreciate the advice, but if I say no, it means I don't want to buy the product, not because I don't understand it. Last time I visited the salon for a cut I purchased a product, but I won't buy a product time every time I visit.

In conclusion, it is very upsetting for me to look at my hair and the money I spent would have been much better at a professional salon. I recommend your academy to review your pricing and or/supervision. E.g. if charging high prices, someone needs to watch as the foils go in and the whole process, be thorough and don't try to cover over what's happened. Or if you are comfortable with people having worse than salon experiences, than I suggest making the price lower than salons.
