Unfortunately, I had a terrible time at the hair salon.
I would like to make a clear distinction: my student hairdresser did a very good job at cutting my hair. I have no issues with my student hairdresser, she was attentive and patient and did an amazing job.
However the teacher in charge was the reason for the bad experience. She repeatedly bumped her hand into my fully healed helix ear piercing. I asked her repeated to stop, but she did not stop. She continued to bump into my piercing so much that it caused my piercing to redden, swell and start bleeding. It was excruciatingly painful. I am disappointed that bodily harm was caused during my trip, and also incredibly frustrated that I was not listened to.
I had to see a doctor afterwards. I believe for an incident like this, I should be reimbursed for the damage. Hair saloners should be mindful of piercings and never touch them.
