The screen of my Samsung had completely cracked. I took my phone to the PhoneLab, went for a short walk after returning they had already replaced the broken screen with a new one.
That was nearly two years ago and my phone is still working perfectly fine and looking like new! I do not regret it.
Having a screen fixed may be a bit expensive (mostly due to the screen being expensive, not the service) but it is certainly a lot cheaper than buying a new phone for nearly 1000eur.
